I design with empathy.
I build with purpose.

My Process

My process begins with rigorous user research to ground every requirement in real end-user needs, then translates those insights into clear design decisions that align stakeholders quickly. This research-first approach reduces costly rework down the line and consistently results in products people genuinely love to use.

About Me

I'm Melissa.

A Sr. Product UX/UI Designer with 20 years of experience working across federal government, B2B, and consumer products. My practice is rooted in genuine curiosity about how people live and work, and a belief that the best interfaces disappear into the background.

I've spent time in cornfields with conservationists, in repair bays with field technicians, in hospitals observing nurses manage large dialysis clinics and in living rooms with dialysis patients. Because context is everything. I bring that fieldwork rigor to every stage of the process, and the communication skills to carry it through stakeholder reviews and sprint cycles.

Let's Connect!

Good design starts with a conversation.

Whether you're building a new product, scaling a design team, or looking for a senior designer who can lead end-to-end, I'd love to hear what you're working on!
